Twitter notification

Hi,

Has anyone had issues getting SMS notifications from Twitter on their (3 network) phone?

It's worked previously, but this year, despite the same followed groups, turning on mobile notifications, turning on the push settings on my Twitter app, I don't get any texts.

Cheers for any advice.

EE doesn't support SMS notifications. At least it certainly didn't last year and doesn't appear to have been added to the list of supported networks.

I used a service called Zapier last year, as some knowledgable folk on here suggested and it worked a treat. It may be worth a look if 3 doesn't fix it

I've got the same problem.  Just asked Three, who said the problem might be with Twitter.  Just went through all my settings on Twitter, still no luck.  Time to change to EE  perhaps?

Another vote for Zapier. If you search for that you'll probably find the thread on it all from last year.

Thanks all, at least it's not me going mad. I'll try Zapier. I prefer the SMS approach to preserve battery rather than use data for updates.

Zapier seems to be the answer - but don't sign up until about 12th June, to make sure you get the trial period throughout the festival.

Cheers for the info. I'd assumed it was an app, but I've got the website now.

Two people on the secret Glasto thread said that EE wasn't working for them.

    • Another one from Sheffield DocFest this weekend, Earth Wind & Fire docu, directed by Questlove. Sensational archive footage, contributions from band members, family, plus a lot of very big fans (Stevie, Lionel, Flea, the Obamas) and a warts n all assessment of the genius / flawed human being that was Maurice White. Also, I never realised he started out as a jazz drummer with Ramsay Lewis. Well worth a watch.

    • BBC iPlayer: Will serve as the main hub for past sets, including both recent hits and iconic archival gems. You can explore the BBC iPlayer to watch curated compilations, "Best of Glastonbury" recaps, and on-demand replays of historic headline performances. [1, 2, 3] TV Broadcasts (BBC Two & BBC Three): The channels will air dedicated compilation shows. Leading up to the weekend, you can watch archive programming such as Glastonbury: 70s Legends, 80s Legends, and 90s Legends on BBC Two. [1] Radio & BBC Sounds: Pop-up Glastonbury radio stations on BBC Sounds will feature non-stop coverage, including exclusive mixes and huge sets from past years
    • Got HBO Max to watch football so watched One Battle After Another which is a great film and deserves its awards and then rewatched Magnolia and that is a flipping amazing film...so much in it. (also rewatching Angels In America series which is also amazing).
