Tickets permitting not hell or high water could prevent me from going again! This year was my best year yet, I was extremely lucky missing all the traffic on the coach from Bristol, got pretty much the perfect camping spot and enough room for all my mates, knew about 20-25 people in attendance this year and spent a little time will all of them. The mud didn't bother me and I didn't have to upgrade to wellies from my walking boots once so my feet stayed in good condition. I don't think I saw one performance that disappointed me and I ended up at a few bands I'd never heard of that blew me away. But this year really goes to the strangers! On Wednesday evening I drunkenly covered my power pack in beer ending my phones battery once and for all. There was a few times where I lost my friends (most notably straight after muse) but powered on solo. I spent 7 hours wandering around the site with strangers on the Friday night/Saturday morning and it was incredible. So thanks to the french couple who I shared beers and cigarettes with at the Spike, thanks to the Liverpudlians I danced with in the Green Fields, thanks to the elderly lady who sat and chatted to me around the campfire at the stone circle, thanks to the bloke who I briefly chatted to in the Avalon Inn pre-Hobo Jones, thanks to the lady who I laughed, danced and cried with during Coldplay and thanks to the lady who sat and chatted to me and my mates for ages at our tent about absolute rubbish! So roll on next year, I intend to go bigger, harder and friendlier!
