Where to camp - Thursday

I'm aiming to arrive about 11am on Thursday. There are 3 of us with 2 smallish tents between us. Where would be best to camp? I'd like to be somewhere quieter at no risk of flooding and don't mind been a long way from the stages. Any advice is greatly appreciated! Thanks

Darble, Pylon, Rivermead (although that one is low lying, as the name suggests) Baileys, Paynes round to South Park will all have space on Thursday. If you're arriving by coach the fields nearest gate A would be the obvious spot.

Thanks for that My friend is coming by coach, but i will be in a car. I've booked parking. Are the numbered bits on the site map the car parks?

Hello! Yes the numbered fields on the far left and far right of the site map are car parking- you may have a fairly long walk from your car if you're arriving Thursday, so try and get your friends to take the heavier stuff on Wednesday, then you can turn up with lighter stuff

When you arrive just ask the campsite crew at the first site you come across. They will be able to tell you where to head before you walk too far in the wrong direction...

Yes the numbered bits are the car parks, but you won't get to choose which one you can park in - you get directed by the stewards to whichever one they happen to be filling at the time. East or west are your only options, so be careful on choosing the road you approach by or you may find yourself directed to the ones on the wrong side of the site!
