iVince
Hi there, I've got a 4 Wheel trolley with 13' wheels, It'll be carrying a fair weight between me and the ms's, (Tent, loads of booze, sleeping bag etc etc), If it was anything like my like festival, the mud was so bad the 2wheel trolley I did have got stuck in the mud. Would it be worth swapping the wheels for wheels better suited to mud? If so what would you recommend? Thanks, Vince Edited April 29, 2016 by iVince
carlosj
What are the dimensions of the wheels, cm or inches? I think the space between the bottom of the trolley and the top of the mud (ie not colliding), combined with keeping the axles clear is going to be most important. I bought some solid plastic wheels and sturdy clips (metal with curved edge to stop it working off the axle) and this seems ok.
iVince
13 inches. I've attached a picture of it, just not sure if the tires on it will collect mud. Do you have any pictures of your setup pal?
shuttlep
that is trolley we use, it's always been okay
iVince
Hopefully its be alright then :). I've had it powder coating black and will order a cargo net for it too. Just wondered if different type of tyre would be better.
iVince
I have to admit, the steering setup does feel a bit loose, could have been drilled a bit better.
shuttlep
the one that i use that looks the same has somea few trips from the car to the camp and has always been fine. two of us pulling it taking turns it does ok and lasts, you see so many two wheel things that lose wheels
iVince
That's alright then I might replace the bolts for more suited sizes but apart from that should be fine. Thinking about feeding so rope through the handle and doing a simple chest hardness just for Pulling :).
