Using anothers registration, how risky?

The best option IMO is to buy using the wrong reg. now and then re-register and try again in the resale, if you get a correct ticket in the resale you have until 5th may to get a refund on the other one, it'll cost you £15 extra admin fee but at least you won't have any issues at the gate.

A never new you could get the resale ticket without buyig in full . Sounds like a plan
