Queing on Tuesday night.

If you are coming early pop into Glastonbury for the Fringe Festtival which is running before and on the Tuesday night in Glastonbury.. Website is still a little sketchy but as with the locals it will all pull together a couple of weeks before. If you are down even earlier the Fringe runs through the Solstice so the town will be full on.

Does anyone know, if you que at gate b, do they start the que at the gate or do they start the que at some other random spot and move people towards the gate later on in the night/morning?

The only reason I ask is because if they let you que at the gate from 9 I would much rather do that and be chilled (literally), with all my stuff until the gates open Wednesday morning rather than lugging my stuff through all the pens and people before I get to the gate for a few hours.

Anyone arrived Tuesday night last year for gate C ? did they send you upto the Gate B carparks? as this happened when i arrrived at 7am.

We aim to get into carparks 12 am..I assume they wont let you into the Caravan fields till 7am? or do they send all pedestrians upto B now?

Dont want to plan for gate C then get sent to B,as the queue was really bad

Suggest reading the thread, someone might have said.

There's a lot of folk coming in here asking questions answered only a page or so previously. Worth a read through if you're interested, won't take up much of your life

There really is no need to queue. (Unless it's the experience of it you enjoy) I've arrived at 0700 for the past 4 festivals at Gate C and camped in the same spot in Kidney Mead each time. Tent up by 1030-11. Lovely.

However, I Only live 45 mins away. If I was coming some distance, then I may prefer to wait in line over night rather than drive through the night I guess.

We camp in the middle Kidney Mead every year! Team Weymouth with the big Tipi.. Feel free to say hello

You have no choice whatever time you arrive, you go where you're sent be it close to B or C. Correct, not allowed in campervan fields closest to the gate until they get ready for gates open, maybe 06:00 you start moving inch by inch. There's really no easy way other than wait till the queues die and pitch a little out side of the inner camping fields.
