stardustjunkie
I've always known that I'd pay up to £300 to go to Glastonbury if the tickets keep going up. Any more than that and I don't think I'll be able to justify spending that much money. So with that in mind, if there was an awful system like the one suggested, I would pay up to £500 for 5 years of guaranteed tickets, as that would roughly equate to just over £300 a year. It's a shit idea though, Glastonbury should be open to everyone, not those with money in their pockets. I was asked if I wanted to go VIP this year. One year I would like to, just to experience that side of things (but that's more because I'm nosy and I work in events so it interests me to see every nook and cranny). It's too expensive at the moment though, I don't have a spare grand to put down on a ticket. I'd rather try for a ticket like I did on Wednesday (I succeeded) or work the festival for a charity. Yoghurt on a Stick
This is going give me nightmares tonight! Nah, as others said it would end up being a system of privilege to those who can afford the extra cost. While the rest of us fight each other for the few tickets left. Hello Tom I agree entirely. In that, yes the photo will give you nightmares, and that it would also be unacceptable for the Glatonbury Festival to go along this route. In fact, it would be disastrous, and seriously fly in the face of the ethos of those who first were involved with the festival's creation. Funkyfairy!
I agree totally rubbish idea ..... Totally wrong. I thought t was terrible when the Gnr went down that avenue ... That's a lottery, people love doing it - oversubscribed etc etc BTW I also think touting people and offering to pay them to try to get tickets for you doesn't sit well with me either .......... It's about luck today not about how many pennies you have
Dave The Hedgehog
Was considering starting up a Kickstarter campaign a while back so that everybody who contributed could pay towards having stake in a house in Pilton to claim as residence. £650,000 was the lowest price I found, but think of it as an investment and a way to guarantee a ticket for life. Not sure how that would work or how effective my plan would be, however.
