Is anyone else gutted that the Motown Party isn't coming back this year? It was awesome at William's Green last year and it was one of the first things I looked for when the full lineup came out. I thought the DJ liked the sound of her own voice a bit too much which resulted in her killing the momentum a little between songs but apart from that the atmosphere was incredible and you really can't go wrong with 2hrs of Motown music in the early hours!

Yeah that was one of my highlights last year, absolutely perfect place to go to after the Stones. The Williams Green DJ sets don't look as good this year (mainly pop classics for the last few decades ranging from blur to spice girls to the doors?) - seems to disparate.

Midnight Saturday at The Acid Lounge - Scream Team, a couple of people out of Primal Scream "flying the flag of Detroit rock n'roll, soul and Motown", might be a decent alternative.

I think Craig Charles usually does a sneaky late slot somewhere, always good value to that

That does sound good, Acid Lounge is in the Unfairground, part of the South East Corner, it's easy to find.

I have to admit that all of the Willaims Green line up is somewhat underwhemling, but last year i had a couple of old bands that brought back old memories and yes its sad that the Mowtown party has gone, safe to say i have no plans to return this year, but we still don't know the mystery bands on the Thursday.
