Vodka Flavour Ideas

Hey, I've seen something about this on here before I think but can't quite remember now, I'm bringing some decanted vodka and wanted some ideas for recipes of different flavours (e.g. I've seen skittles vodka recommended) :)

Glacier mints

Parma violets

Cola cubes

Werthers originals

Black jack / Fruit salad

Pear drops

Bacon

Cherry lips

Some of these sound good, if you've made any you know what sort of ratios? :P

Bacon aside which is more tricky, you just keep adding a few at a time, leave for a day or 2 until dissolved (shaking 2 or 3 times a day) and keep adding until no more will dissolve. No need for a dishwasher. I've made them all.

Last year I used approximately a bag of sweets per third litre of vodka.

Blackberry vodka is amazing. You'd need to make it... well, now. But put a good amount of blackberries in and a couple of tablespoons of sugar. Give it a good shake every day and taste it every now and then to see what it's like. Once you've got a nice strong blackberry flavour, strain all the fruit out of it and you're good to go. I've used 3 punnets of blackberries so far, I strained out the first punnet and then added the other two at a later date. It's looking yummy :)

Instead of flavouring the vodka, how about putting the vodka in the flavour? What you want to do is go to the shops and pick up a slightly shrivelled watermelon, cut a small hole in the top, insert a funnel and keep topping up the watermelon with vodka until it wont absorb any more. Not the lightest option though!

Yeah that sounds good but the point of me bringing spirits is that they will be lighter (we are travelling by bus too so really want to keep it light) :)

I made skittles vodka a few years ago using this guide

http://mixthatdrink.com/skittles-vodka-tutorial/

and it was a huge hit with the whole camp. Other friends have winged it and the results have been pretty poor (you really do need a lot of skittles per vodka)

If you want something truly disgusting to use as a forfeit drink, soak a couple of cinnamon sticks in cheap vodka for a week. Wow its bad.

For the love of all that is good, do NOT use chillies!

Seriously, my gut still churns at the thought of it!

The thought never actually occurred to me, that sounds..

Take your point, it's just the dishwasher makes it in about 70 minutes.

Saw on a post here a while agi about werthers.

I used 2 packets per litre

Put them in mini blender and ground them to dust tgen put them in a pan with a bit of water and very slowly heat the mixture. the sweets slowly dissolve. Be patient as you will think it isn't working as it becomes a bit if a sticky mess but will dissolve eventually.

When all dissolved take off heat and whisk in the vodka.

Have tried the other method but this one gives a better/stronger caramel taste.

Apparently the method I've described works for all boiled type sweets and results are a lot quicker

I've got Werthers on the go (or made really, they disolve quick, so if you read this in 3 weeks time, do Werthers!) and Jelly Bean vodka (removed the green one, it looks a nice reddish colour and smells fantastic).

I done similar with Bourbon last year and this year , to make Apple Pie Bourbon, which you will find on the booze and infused website someone already linked. Bloody delicious it is to!

    • Gavin Leigh Davis on Instagram, the Fabrizio Romano of tour leaks, says Sam Fender outdoor shows and likely festivals next year. Didn't explicitly mention Glastonbury but adds more to the rumour
    • I think a lot of you guys don't see Tate McRae as headliner material however she was originally billed to play back in 2025 and had to pull out (https://www.billboard.com/music/music-news/glastonbury-2025-headliners-revealed-tickets-line-up-1235915362/). She sold out out all of her arena shows in 2025 and just brought in huge crowds at Oshega and Lollapalooza. Given that she's gearing up to release the second album it lines her up for a tour run in her same gap as she's usually over here over Glaso weekend. I wouldn't rule her out.
    • I’d expect U2 & Muse to be options too.
    • I see there's yet another article doing the rounds about Madonna doing BST, and not Glastonbury.   That could be right, but given there'll be plenty of tickets to shift for BST, could it not just be false info doing the rounds to protect that?? Not that I think Madonna would struggle to shift tickets, or that Glastonbury would have that much impact, but still - would probably still make sense to protect ticket sales when it's announced?
    • Given BST recently I wouldn't expect it as rock heavy as that. I kinda am expecting it'd be where The Cure play though as I'm expecting a second year touring of them
