I'd agree to keep the capacity as it is. Like many have said, the pyramid stage just can't deal with the number of people, especially when it comes to headline acts and everyone is trying to get there via left and right hand side of stage.

I preferred the other stage as it was more open and could head to the back and still get a decent view, but with more space.

Plus the impact on the environment, having to create more car parking spaces, more areas of the farm becoming a dumping site for lazy people who just leave their stuff.

Then there's the idiots who turn up late, decide they want to camp in the more popular areas and try and get you to move your tent so they can fit theirs in (when you've got a small two person tent and nowhere to move it), when you've waited to get in the festival early to secure a good spot.

they should start a glastonbury lottery! everybody registered pays £50. and 137,500 winners get one of the lucky tickets! more money for the charities involved, and cheaper tix for the winners!

But I have just realised the flaw in that plan,I would have to buy both tickets and leave at the finish of the first one and then join the queue for the next.

I do wonder if they've ever entertained, or even thought about, doing a coachella-style double weekender. It must have at least crossed their minds. The demand is there, but I doubt the funds are.

No, not like a Leeds/Reading thing. Coachella runs the same weekend twice on the same site, so you can do week 1, week 2, or theoretically both (avoiding clashes etc).

I'd do a 2 week glasto, but I'd insist on proper showers!

2000 was the last of the "quality festivals" in my opinion! granted, it was crowded. but its never had that edge since! still love the place though.

totally agree yes it got a bit edgy at times but that just made the madness. I still love it too but 2000 was by far my favourite year
