Selfish Playlist Favour Request

Afternoon,

Have had a playlist called 'Green Fields' sat on iTunes since 2008. Frankly, it's pathetic.

Idea was that it would be tracks / artists / acts that made up the 'backdrop' music to Glasto green/craft/etc. field wandering. Made sense when I was there - seemed like there was a particular type of dub / alt / punk / trance 100,000 track compilation that everyone (stalls, eateries, had a copy of - there's a definite aural theme... some well known stuff (seems to be plenty of Clash etc.) but lots of stuff I'd never heard before.

Sat down at the PC after 2008 and had no idea where to start. Still seemed like a good idea when I got back home this year, and though I have 20 Reggae Favourites and a couple of Toots albums, it's going against playlist regulations to copy two CDs in (I reckon).

And so I prostrate myself at the altar of eFest knowledge... any chace you could furnish me with some suggestions as to acts / tracks that would fit a headphones-on return to a field?

Does this make ANY sense at all?

Cheers!

when i was at stone circle on the sunday afternoon of this year, this choir came and did a few songs. i think they also provide the music for the 'leave no trace' ad on screens in between acts. anyway they were great (and definitely perked up the ropey looking stone circle)

    • Jesse Malin at Manchester Halle St Peter's last night.   So good to see him back touring after the trauma he has been through, him and the backing band sounded great.   Support was Bason. I quite enjoyed him, but man, that guy cannot sing.
