Geting to Glastonbury

I'm flying to Bristol from Belfast and was wondering the best way to get to Glastonbury from Bristol airport. Also where would the best place to go for Alcohol?

Any help would be appreciated.

My guess would be a coach, other than that possibly a train to Castle Cary, you'd have to look them up though

Bus from Bristol Airport to Bristol Temple Meads, Train from Temple Meads to Castle Cary. Shuttle bus from Castle Cary to festival site.

Or bus from Bristol Airport to Bristol Temple Meads then a bus to the festival site.

Or you could get a taxi, but I guess that would be pricey.

I'd be biting the bullet and getting a taxi.

To go to Bristol is going back on yourself and I would imagine its utter mayhem and long queues at Temple Meads and Castle Cary. At least in a taxi you know you're not gonna get stuck in Bristol. Its only 20 miles or so and hopefully the driver will know the shortcuts to get from Wells to the A361 near the gate A. Once you hit the queues just get out and walk the rest of the way. You drive through Wells theres a couple of supermarkets there to get some grog.

I'd also suggest that you dont tell the taxi company / driver youre going to the festival - just say Wells, cos as soon as they think youre going to Glasto they'll probably bump the fare up.
