Going off site Thurs back Fri

One of our group has to return to Bristol on Thursday, returning to site Friday. Pain in the arse but she can't get out of it.

Didn't want to bring her car (getting a lift there) so was hoping to do it via shuttle bus, but looks like the only shuttles Thurs/Fri are to/from Castle Cary, then train to/from Temple Meads.

Has anyone tried this before? Are there any other destinations other than Castle Cary from the festival bus station on Thurs?

Cheers for the reply Glastonlocal.

She's working on site so has to be there the Sun/Mon before the fest, she can't arrive later.

No worries, shuttle to Castle Cary & train or she'll have to bring a car - can't see her hitching as she'd stress over the deadline to meet in Bristol, though I'd guess getting a lift off-site to Glastonbury would be easyish, then a bus from there to Brizzle.

It'll all be cool.

2007 some friends and i tore ourselves away from the site around 6pm on the Thursday and took a bus to castle Carey then a cab to a village where we were getting a bed, shower and a lovely dinner.

Got back on site no problem on Friday morning. The real issue is that our mates had already enjoyed their best night of the weekend and we missed out.

On Thursday there is the 'GF3' service operating from Bristol Temple Meads to the Festival Bus Station.

Oddly, the timetable I have lists times departing from BTM, but not the return. One would assume though, that the buses will indeed be going back up to BTM.

Your friend might want to mail the festival and ask if the GF3 is indeed catchable back to Bristol on the Thursday.

Unfortunately the GF3 has no service on Friday, so suggestions in previous posts still apply for that leg.
