Blocking a ticket?

I was hoping they would nab him at the gates, but like someone said on here unless they knew people that were going down its highly unlikely that he would go on their own..

Plus as far as I know they don't have anything electronic i.e computers or scanners on the gates to show a ticket has been stolen do they??? so if he does go he will get in scot free! ... w*nker!

I'm still hopeful they will catch the person who's done it.... it's a small town so I'm guessing if they try to sell it round here someone will let us know.

and the police said they are monitoring gum tree and other ticket sites to look out for any local ticket sales

Thanks everyone for your help

This forums has been so heart warming....

Reading that ur mate had is house Brocken into and having some dirty scumbag routing through his stuff then robbing him was horrible.

Then the mate telling the story of this awful tale and how everyone on efestival helped with their knowledge and ideas of what to do!!!

Then reading how the ticket is get replaced is a beautiful thing....

This is what Glastonbury festival is all about piece and love! And that there are good people out there who will help and support other without any reward.

Thankyou to whoever suggested tweeting see tickets, they have been amazing and between them and the festival they have sorted this out for us and replacement will be waiting on site.

They get a bit of stick sometimes but see have been absolutly brilliant!

Pleased to hear you have got sorted out, make sure your mate carries a copy of the tweet and try and confirm it by email (just in case there is any problem at the ticket pick up office) and also get him to wear a label with his name and address on for the duration of the festival, then if he gets lost anyone finding him will know where to return him too ;)

Regarding catching the thief they most probably will, but probably not as a direct result of this burglary but one of the many this sort of scumbag will do. Then when eventually caught they admit to a few to be taken into account and they are effectively wiped clean of them. Unfortunately the low life who do this sort of thing look at it as a well paid job with an element of risk and a bit of excitement. Also although the hours may be unsociable they are very short, so with the amount of money they can raise by selling their takings added to any cash found, the rate of pay per hour is fantastic and much preferable to them than working a 37/40 hour week for much less than a couple of burglaries. Even then when they get caught they may at worse get a very short time of detainment, but more than likely a few hours community service and it is still more profitable and better in their eyes than having a full time job. Not as though I think the law should be taken into people's own hands, the best thing you can hope for is that he gets caught in the act by someone quite large and handy with his fists and then he gets a bit of rough justice.

It's at Red Gate - as you drive in there's a mini roundabout. You go left at this & then turn right where the stewards will be waiting into a small car park. The cabin is in there. Make sure you take your emails with you as there is lots of security at red gate.

And well done at getting all this sorted for your mate - I hope he appreciates what a star you are!

I guess it depends what time you turn-up. Wednesday morning is rammed down there due to all the buses arriving & i'm guessing its a nightmare driving around the roads around the site. If you're driving down Tuesday night it might be worth checking If you can pick it up on the Tuesday. It's open days before everyone turns up for crew. If not I'd guess it would be easier to park up & then your mate can go queue for his ticket. You can go put your tent up & have some well deserved ciders.
