East Campervan Field

Hi,

A bit of advice please. Has anyone stayed in the campervan east field? It's the first time for me, and I wondered if someone could let me know:

Is it far to the main stage?

It is a steep hill to get to the field?

It's it flat?

Any other tips and advice would be great.

Thanks so much,

Ben

Hi,

Is it far to the main stage?

- which main stage? My main stage was the Park last time ;-) It's all Glastonbury time in June. Maybe 15-20 mins walk to the entrance from E14 field and who knows how long once inside. There are threads on walking times between stages, and you can get an idea on location from last time's map, but lots are changing according to news and rumours so we'll have to wait for the new map before we know for sure.

It is a steep hill to get to the field?

- yes, but we were fine with it.

If it's flat?

- flat enough, we didn't have issues with levelling off the van or sleeping in the tent beside the van (ie no rolling to one side)

Any other tips and advice would be great.

- read the threads and search the forum, esp tips on taking a CV. Not meant to be sarky, but there's more than I can put here.

Thanks so much,

Ben

General advice on staying in the CV fields. They are outside the perimeter fence so to go in each day you will need to present your Festival Ticket (so carry it with you and guard it).

Also when you exit the festival each night you will get a Pass Out Ticket that you will need to present when going back in.

There can also be random searches going in, so watch what you are carrying.

The hill aint too bad - unless it is REALLY muddy - but then you can always take a longer walk. East side is best for quick access to the festival. queues are not too bad after the first day - queuers are mainly people from the campervan field - never had to wait more than 15 mins.
