This is my first glastonbury too, someone advised earlier that you could just wait a couple of hours before you head into naughty corner. So if main acts finish 00.00, it will be a lot easier 02.00 then the initial rush. can always eat some delicious food or have a pint while waiting i guess.

after hours activites is a big part of glasto and I definitely wouldn't want to miss out on it :)

My advice is to not try and see everything in one year. Stick to what you are interested in or curious about. The site is so large to cover all the stages/areas is very tiring.

Personally I love flagtopia for chilling out and getting away from the chaos down below, also Avalon inn and stage can throw up some nice surprises.

Jesus didnt think it would be 8 hours, hoped to have arrived there by half 2 (setting off at ten), but looking like that aint gonna happen. Hopefully dan05delaney's a bit closer to the truth come the 26th of June. By the sounds of it, it looks like we'l setting up our tent in the dark.

Not necessarily,09 was particularly horrendous, culmination of some really shitty bad accidents and huge numbers wanting to get in early doors. We're bussing it down ourselves anyway so fingers crossed. If it all goes tits up it'll simply delay the party, not end it .

The Naughty corner is the unofficial name for the for the late night south east corner which takes in Shangri la,Block 9 etc.

As a newb try not to go there straight after the last acts finish on the main stages though as the place is packed with what we call ''tourists'',people that go there for a look and then turn in for the night,at this time of night its impossible to really enjoy the place but go there for about 2ish and it is a bit more freed up to explore this wondrous and hedonistic place,if your a night owl that is.

    • Maybe hopeful but get Knocked Loose on the Sunday opposite the legend. Similar to the slot Turnstile had in 2022. Would be absolutely phenomenal.
    • One of my personal favourite bands at the minute - MUNA. Was very surprised not to see them booked in 2023 with their last album but hopefully they'll be around next year. Very fun new album from these guys and, as aforementioned, another standout for me at Big Weekend.
    • Absolutely second this. Were great at Big Weekend and already have a great catalogue of songs forming so far. Would love to see them on the farm!
    • A mixed first day for us. First of all, we were honestly quite shocked that there was no security check at all at the VIP entrance around 7:30 PM. No bag check, nothing. I’ve attended Primavera many times over the years and this felt surprisingly lax for an event of this size. Did anyone else experience the same?   Another disappointment was the communication regarding the weather situation. Primavera has some of the best sound systems and speaker setups in the festival world, yet somehow they were not able to make a single clear announcement explaining what was happening. Instead, people were expected to read tiny messages on screens in Mordor while thousands were left wondering what was going on. A simple and direct audio announcement would have gone a long way.   On a lighter note, this guy absolutely made my day. Sitting right in front of the Estrella Damm terrace, wearing nothing but a long-sleeve shirt, jeans and a pair of Converse All Stars, he remained completely unbothered by the rain. While everyone else was looking for shelter, he sat there wearing sunglasses, calmly watching the crowd as if he was watching a movie.   Absolute main character energy!
    • I think my party got pretty lucky last night, at least compared to some of the horror stories over on Reddit. I was very impressed with Father John Misty in particular.   Perhaps my view would be different if I were a big Massive Attack fan or whatever, but right now my feeling is that if it's not safe for the shows to go ahead... then it's not safe for the shows to go ahead. I'd much rather they were cautious than roll the dice when it comes to something like that.    Here's hoping everyone has a better day today.
