For what little my opinion is worth, personally I think the anti-pissing thing has gone too far. Yes GF has done a good job with persuading the masses to use the toilets and rightly so but now its become some sort of sordid crime worthy of threats, general abuse and the ways it's going, violence too. Which in turn may become even more of a problem than the pissing ever was.

Very Glasto indeed!

The thing is, I'm not sure people realise how serious it is.

First of all, the festival is on precarious ground licence wise. It's not long ago the licence was refused. It has to toe the line very carefully, it can't take any risks.

Secondly, make no mistake, the farm and farming is more important to the Eavis' than the festival, they've said so themselves. Say if one year, the cows are affected by the ground, why shouldn't the Eavis' just say "fuck it, why should I bother?".

I will not return to this thread, it's all been said. If you didn't get the message by now then you're just a dumb fool. And for the record, I've never hit anybody out of aggression but you just never know.

On a similar subject, I've once or twice had to curl one off in the middle of a festival crowd as it would have taken me too long to get to the toilet and back and I didnt want to miss the act. Thankfully my mates have stood around me while I do it and then I generally just kick it away so i dont have to smell or see it (it is disgusting after all). Clearly it is A LAST RESORT and I don't encourage the act.

Anybody else had the same problem?

I like to look at the forum now and then. There are some good threads on music recommendations like the Mali one.I've got tickets through the ticket links and I even bought a t-shirt because of that, which I've never worn.So this piss slinging thread is a bonus.

The toe the party line fanatics, the slightly selfish and the drama queens all wallowing in synthetic rage. The journey of being a bit cheesed off to out and out fume has been excellent. The determination not to read posts properly often brings rewards to the reader. It's got angrier and angrier from trying to talk sense to real hostility. The creeping hint of violence with threats, sinister pms, cyber straighteners and the possibility of the meet ending in a blood bath. What a thrill. Then the ludicrous idea that some harm may be visited on the now traumatised.Nobody is going to hurt you it's ok,honest you'll be fine.I'll go out on a limb and say don't even worry about the rotty. And in all the years I've been going I haven't been pissed on so you cats don't worry too much either

All this written in the spirit of love and peace was the icing on the cake.Well done everyone.

And you sir are just another addition to an already well established club on here of narrow minded, with us or against us and quick to insult those who don't share your political thoughts and philosophies and no doubt a music snob to boot.

Quite frankly it's already been done to death on here by much better contributors than you.

Vernster I'm worried that I've offended you now, you do seem a sensitive sort. Are you still upset that nasty russycarps still ignores you despite you dressing up just like him? Can't we be friends? My daughter's guinea pig died recently and I miss its chubby little face and coprophagic ways. Shall we chat about music then? What are you and the boys down at the Young Conservatives' disco listening to these days? I bet The Spice Girls are very popular after Geri's heartfelt tribute to the originator of Girl Power?

Fear not dude, I take no offence from complete strangers on an internet forum, I simply retort accordingly. I find this forum to be a continual source of joy and amusement, truly I do, provided by highly opinionated individuals such as your good self. It takes no effort to cast out there and wait for little fish like you to get on the hook and into the keep net you go. As you were, there's a good lad.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
