Capcity is much bigger. Thats a big point, they'll have nearly twice the income of kendal calling.

I just got the calculator out on this mick and was shocked by the difference in gate receipts .

KC sell every ticket on their current capacity they generate 1.5 million from tickets.

Rockness sell out and generate 4.7 million .

Of the lines up so far, how many 'household names' are there per festival?

Economies of scale....divide the gate receipts by number of 'names' and you'll see that Rockness get better value for money.

To be fair that's pretty much the final rockness line up compared to the initial KC one, see what the next announcement brings, johnny marr will be a decent add if the story's true

They have got a pretty reasonable lineup at Rock Ness but they don't really have anything that would drag me up there rather than Kendal Calling. Like ramragon says, this is only the beginning for the KC line up.

Has anyone here been to Rock Ness? How does the experiance compare?

I was there in 2011 and it was very enjoyable, even though there is 4 times more punters the arena area is'nt much bigger than KC with every stage, stall and bar no more than 7 or 8 minutes away although the campsites are a lot further away ,i would certainly recommend and will give it another visit myself in the next year or two.
