Just gotten back from a Kate Rusby gig. She was really excellent and it got me wondering has she ever played Glastonbury. I think she'd work really well in the acoustic test or maybe in the park. She has a beautiful voice and a great sense of humour as well.

Guessing with 101 views and no replies that she has never played. If so I think she'd be a good booking. Her band are brilliant musicians as well.

She'd be a great booking. Can't remember her playing but "Sleepless" is an album that never gets tired. "Our Town" is one of the most beautiful songs I know.

when this thread got started I looked to see what efests has listed for her - and was surprised to see that (as far as efests knows, anyway) she's not played Glastonbury).

I'm surprised she has never played. I've seen her live 4 times and she never disappoints.

She's very cheerful and funny when you see her live. I don't think many artists smile on their album covers.

She would be a great addition to the Acoustic Stage, Avalon or Croissant Neuf. I'm also amazed that she has never played the festival and think that she would fit in really well. I think that sometimes people get pigeon holed. Acts like Seth Lakeman & Eliza Carthy have definite roots in the folks scene (Seth perhaps little more cross genre), but have both played the fest. Perhaps the view is that Kate is just a touch too folk for the fest. Personally I don't think so, but hey, I don't book the acts.
