Foos Sound At Leeds

Anyone else think it was terrible?

Very disappointing for a headliner for the sound to be that bad. It did seem to be improve, but I left about 10 to go watch Less Than Jake.

It seemed to be drifting in and out all over the place

Maybe they rushed soundcheck so they could get in and out of Leeds as quickly as possible.

where we were it was great sound. happy to report not one bad leeds sound issue but then i never usually find one, thats why i always went there

Ditto, I thought the sound was bang on all through the festival.

Same here - I can remember in about 2009 been able to hear the fairground rides above the music most of the time so was nicely surprised with the quality

We were to the right of the sound desk and was really bad

It wasn't just us who noticed it. Other people kept moving to try find somewhere better. Plus the crowd was chanting turn it up.

It's the first time I have ever noticed the sound been poor for a headliner!

I thought the sound for The Cure and Florence was amazing at Leeds

Nope, thought the Foos were great! Great set, great sound and great sing alongs!

Sounds like I was in a void then! Never normally stand that side, but wanted easier access to Lockup.

The Cure were just fascinating to watch/listen, don't think i've ever said that about a band but they just blew me away. Loved it towards the end with Lovecats etc when everyone started dancing around including Robert Smith, amazing atmosphere.

Yeah I thought for the first while or so it was all over the place. It did get better though.

Agreed, was just to the left of the sound desk and sound was all over the place. Ended up leaving to see Justice (don't get me wrong, love the foos but after seeing them at T last year the setlist was giving me deja vu!)

Stayed away from that spot for rest of weekend and sound was spot on for everything, must've just been a void between the speakers.

For the big outdoors gigs if you aren't close to the front speaker stack then it is best to go back and stand directly in front of the additional stacks further back.

The amount of truly shite outdoors gigs I've wasted money on because the sound was poor and we didn't move but it really can be as simple as moving near a speaker
