Glastonbury 2012 - anyone else been/going?

Possibly going on Saturday. Depending on the missus letting us stop! (she's fed up of me banging on about glastonbury) off to the tor as well seeing as I haven't been in a while and live so local I feel I owe a visit. I'll take some photos to share don't worry

the railway line embankment across the site is still a public Right of Way.

I would be surprised if the railway line is still a public right of way. I think the festival has carefully expanded to the limits of the boundaries of rights of way over recent years and the super fence couldn't get much bigger without cutting across one.

That being said the locals did advise me to use the railway line as a good way of visiting the site. At the West end there is a lane cutting across it and you can climb a gate opposite a house that has been built slap bang in the middle of the line. Very odd.

I would always ask the festival office for permission though before using the railway line and treat it as private land.

it's possible to get temporary closure notices for rights of way, so I presume that's what the festival does.

hey man, yea if you go to imageshack http://imageshack.us/

you'll be able to browse your hard drive and select the files to upload to imageshack then once uploaded you'll be presented with a url to the image

I've just managed to load a photo that was on my computer (lord knows how I managed to get it on there in the first place as I'm a complete technophobe) onto the image shack site. How do I get it from imageshack onto here?

Once you've uploaded the photo it should give you a number of links, forum code link/direct link etc on the page that appears after successfully uploading an image

Stopped of in Glastonbury town a couple of weeks ago, lovely place, great to see a town center with so few corporate names.

Didn't go to the festival site but climbed the Tor.

Here is a picture of the much debated railway line looking toward Steanbow near Gate D.

And here is a shot of the Pyramid from Worthy Lane taken Saturday 23rd June 2012. One of the best views in the world!

there are public foot paths that go around the site that you can walk on any time outside of the festival period. Look on our excellent village website for the routes: http://www.piltonvil.../Footpaths.html
