I wish them well. But I really don't think they'll ever be festival headliners. They weren't big enough when they headlined Download, even though they pulled it off and proved themselves somewhat. But now? Not a chance. I do wish them well for the new album though, they had all the potential in the world a few years back.

Just thinking that if they made 1 more album after this. Why couldnt they headline another festival? Burn burn, Last train home, Shinobi, Last summer, Kobekri, Rooftops, everyday combat, where we belong ..... much more. They have a huge set list.

I would have loved to have seen them headline R/L one day but that doesn't look likely. The new album is alright but I don't think it has anything on their older material however I think it's doing well. Bring Em' Down is always on Radio 1. Who knows though, if they manage a sub headline spot next year then maybe with one more album down the line they could do it? Unlikely I know but would love to see them get the chance. They have the setlist that's for sure and they are sick live.

The album's a grower for sure.

As a huge fan of the band I was really disapointed with it when I got it last week, but a few listens later and I'm really into it.

They won't ever headline now, but I reckon it'l probably do well enough to propel them back up to 3rd top at big festivals such as R+L and potential headliners at smaller festivals.

Off the top of my head though, this would make an ace headline setlist

because they don't have much appeal outside their own fanbase. I've been aware of them for years and only song i recognise is rooftops, that and anything else i've heard has been pretty crap (in my humble opinion)

Loving the new album, IMO they won't headline unless they are offered IOW, which i suppose is a possibility for 2013

    • Have you tried Anna von Hausswolff yet? Great singer, and she's from Gothenburg so guess she'll be extra excited to show her skills, especially after she unfortunately had to cancel her early summer dates.    Different style, but Oklou for me was the highlight of Primavera (apart from Geese), really enjoyable relaxed music.
    • A few bigger acts that did other similar festivals this year but not Truck, wouldn't be surprised to see one or two of these (if they're touring):   Reytons The Streets Blossoms Sophie-Ellis Bextor Rick Astley Scissor Sisters Dizzee Rascal   Truck on the undercard seems to rotate a lot of it every 2/3 years, expect to see some of these (if they're touring): Yard Act Sports Team Sea Girls Pale Waves Fat Dog Peace Swim Deep Courting   Hope Westside Cowboy and Radio Free Alice are booked again and get some bigger slots next year
    • I read a reliable source saying there's not enough time to stress test and have worked through any major financial decisions between now and then.   So guarantees this budget will just be tinkering at the edges only.
    • Thanks @sisco. Looking forward to it!
    • Looking like will be bringing a 2-3 month old to Glastonbury next year
