you have to admit, if the poster is a fake, its a very accurate example of one. even e festivals didn't have the correct info for along period of time.

how can you prove without a shadow of a doubt that mag was a fake? when they have all the acts in the right place even before some were declared as T.B.C e.g The Cure and Florence and The Machine.

Kasabian letting down that set of headliners, but Foos and The Cure is just brilliant, both great great live bands and anybody with any sense will go and see The Cure, may have to get myself a day ticket for Leeds for that one, after Bestival last year, i would love to see them again.

we KNOW from neil that: kaisers are in the wrong place, maccabees and foster the people are in the wrong place

we can also assume that black keys will be on main

oh and there's a big piece of Sellotape attaching it to the magazine it supposedly from and these magazines don't get put into print this early.... anything else?

I would've rather Bloc Party, but it's definitely a fresh headliner with a massive back catalogue of hits, there'll always be a decent alternative in the tent. I reckon it'll be like Reading 2010 Saturday, where the headliners were Arcade Fire, Pendulum and Ash across the stages where everyone'll have a great time wherever they go.

I can't prove it to you but I know for certain that it is. Take my word for it.

But that aside, how many different posters have you seen? And have all of those different posters put just about every rumoured name in every position .... meaning that at least one was going to be in about the right ball park with names and positions.

And it's actually easier than that, because we all know that (say) Florence will be towards the top of the bill and not the bottom. Meaning that the combinations isn't actually that many.

And with all these posters, if eFests rumours a name it suddenly appears on all the posters. Who was even rumouring Kasabian before efests said they were a headliner? Everyone thought they were playing Hyde Park.

Then there's the names I know aren't playing, and the acts I know that are that haven't been said.

Come back after the announcement and show me a poster that matches it. :)

With a strong undercard I'd be amazed if this doesn't sell out pretty quick. Stick someone like Chase and Status on the NME to keep (the majority of) the kids happy. The Cure will also sell a hell of alot of day tickets.

Well...really?

I also remember reading that it's 94% not The Cure...and that we won't be getting Florence and her Machine....obviously this was on our 900 page headliners post...and in the process of discovering stuff and eliminating things.

Therefore, point being, it's not beyond the realms of possibility that Kaisers might be playing NME and not main stage....

So i'm a bit curious about the poster now....

Not my first choice, as mainly i have never really listened to them.

However I'm really happy they're playing. For me, festivals are all about getting into bands that i haven't had much exposure to (like pulp last year) so this provides the perfect opportunity to have a listen.

Now i can't wait until august; my main fear is that Refused will be in Lock Up opposite the Cure.

I've seen Kasabian headline 2 festivals (V and IOW) and they were incredible both times. People moaning about them will be seriously missing a treat, undoubtedly the best live band in the country.

I don't see why everybody is loving the headliners tbh....

Foo's seemed to play everywhere last year

Kasabian are still quite a small band to headline a fest

and The Cure I know little about - don't seem that relevant currently though tbh..,

I don't understand why V and T are getting slaughtered (for what i think, are quite good lineups) but everyone seems positive about reading/Leeds' headliners...

someone explain?
