oh I misread then. I thought we were talking of Lostprophets. Linkin Park subbing is more believable than Lostprophets doing it. It's still a ridiculous idea though.

hahaha what. Lostprophets were allegedly booked in '07 to sub but declined and took 3rd so they could enjoy a sub set by NIN or something. There's no reason they can't work back to that stature, the new albums sounds very promising.

Not really sure what your point is. Loads of bands get huge amounts of hype between their announcement and the actual fest.

I know nothing about lostphophets for this year.

But it's hardly unusual for a fest to book an established band for a slot on the basis of an album that's yet to be released. And it's hardly unusual for them for that band to be shuffled up or down the line-up on the basis of how that album sells.

Mostly tho it goes on out of your sight and you never come to realise that it's even happened.

I love Lostprophets so I hope they're back. Can see them moving up to 3rd down on the main. They were brilliant in the tent in 09 and disappointing on the main stage in 10 but only because they didn't have a long enough set. They know they need to up their game and the new album is sounding very promising.

I don't see why they should move up any positions. what have they done? after their last performance on the mainstage, the only way if there's any justice, is down.

and on the Linkin Park front they could headline but it's unlikely. Would rather them than Bloc Party though
