Went to buy Pulp @ Brixton tickets this morning. Weds 31st August already sold out, extra night of Thursday the 1st added....

I think it was mentioned more out of hope than expectation somewhere else, but what ARE the chances of a Pulp set over the weekend? Jarvis, is a regular as we all know.

Probably not alot of chance at all, but it's keeping me from being too disappointed at not being able to go. I'd rather get to EOTR on Thursday night than go to Pulp.

I think it's pretty slim! Much as I'd love it. Wouldn't be surprised to see a Jarvis appearance in some form though - probably as a dj! now they're playing in Brixton the Thursday I'd say there's pretty much no chance of a Pulp appearance on any other day.

They're playing Electric Picnic the same weekend as EoTR - Pulp's website has them playing on the 4 September. So...conceivable that they could come to EoTR on Fri/Sat... play an unannounced show as a warmup for Ireland....seems a bit optimistic really, but maybe we'll see Jarvis as a punter/DJ.

There is that mysterious hour and a half set up time on the Woods stage before Joanna Newsom, that I keep telling myself is there for a 45 minutes surprise set.

But from a purely selfish perspective, I got tickets for the Wednesday at Brixton anyway, so I'm not bothered whether they turn up or not now!

I'd say slim to none also, especially now thye've announced (and sold out) a second night at Brixton on the Thursday. Much as I love Pulp though, the Cocker/Hawley DJ set does nothing for me, it's far too self-aware.

I hadn't realised the was a big gap between Woods and Newsome. Maybe there will be some kind of surprise act announced there - or more likely, one of the bands already playing elsewhere to do an extra set. Can't take an hour and a half to set a bloody harp up.

Ya that gap is interesting. It's the Sunday night though which is the night Pulp are playing Electric Picnic so it can't be a surprise Pulp set

It's kind of hard to judge at the minute until the exact time slots/ acts are announced. The arrival of a brand new main stage throws everything into chaos with regards to guessing what goes where. Probably be some big clashes :unsure:
