I was out in brixton on saturday night and a tout was selling tickets for the suede gig (playing the album coming up in its entirety) for a tenner so we thought why not.

Last time I saw them (possibly at glasto, not sure) they were awful but this gig was sensational, they really did seem to be on good form and perhaps more remarkably the crowd was brilliant (very very rare for a london gig). I had forgotten how many songs of theres I liked. I must confess I was horribly drunk so this review may well be exaggerated but still.

By The Sea was a particular highlight.

Anyone else see the gig?

I know they are so called exclusives at latitude, but I do hope they play the park secret slot, or has someone already explained why this cant happen?

I had what should be (given the source) solid info that Suede themselves only wanted to play one festival this year, and that festival was Latitude.

While that info is now quite old (it's from long long before the Latitude announcement) and things might have changed, I suspect that the proven accuracy of what I was told about Latitude means that they won't be seen at Glasto.

I was there, it was great- and I'm not the world's biggest Suede fan by any means. Glad I've seen them because it means I can watch most of Eels' set at Latitude now, but if they're not cutting it I know I can nip over to Suede for a pick me up. Nice.

Nope, but I caught Thursday and Friday's performances of Suede and Dog Man Star, respectively. Was meant to see Mercury Rev perform Deserter's Songs on Saturday but couldnt(Im actually torn). Both shows were fantastic, the best I have ever seen them play. During Asphalt World Richard Oakes created such a wall of sound even Mogwai would have been blown away. Also, they played Stay Together as an encore and I cried like a Bieber fan. Not even remotley ashamed about it either. Beautiful. Such a pity they're not at G.

I was going to get tickets for this but I was really unsure because on See Tickets it said that they would only be playing songs from their self titled album and I didn't really know much from that. I love Animal Nitrate, Everything Will Flow, Trash, She's in fashion and of course Beautifull Ones but I'm not really a huge fan. Should have just gone ahead and got tickets instead of being so hesitant really.

Well they played 3 different albums over three nights, Suede Thurs, Dog Man Star Fri and Coming Up saturday.

Sounds to me like Saturday would have suited you just fine. They played Animal Nitrate in their encore. It was truly epic. As was most of the songs.

Really took me back to my youthful days.

Ohh just remembered, Saturday Night was ACE

Yeah, this is consistent with comments the band have made about keeping the reunion fresh and only playing special gigs. Although I'd argue that Glasto is very special. Doesn't look likely though.

I was at Thursday's Brixton gig. Brett's an incredible front man. Great set too - 1st album, 1st album b-sides, greatest hits. Never thought I'd get to hear She's Not Dead or Moving live.

They just had a nice interview as well. Brett said the long term plan is probably to write some new music. Personally I reckon as soon as they get into the studio they'll decide it's not working and call it off, perhaps with a couple of gigs to finish on, but we can dream. More music = more and more gigs!
