I really hate the ticket system

And for those belly aching about having to settle the full balance in April I say grow up. You've had 9 months since the last festival, 6 months since ticket day. If you can't put some by in that time then you need to look at yourself.

I think it's cracking. However, i think the system setup in 2010 was far better, with the october tix, having the option of paying it all off in one go, then having a whole month in feb for those who cannot.

I agree with that. The system this year is okay, but what if someone's on holiday in the first week of April? Having a month is a much more convenient window for payment.

I suspect, given GFLs past record on this kind of thing, that there will end up being a slight extention beyond the deadline for people to sort out genuine problems. As others have said I can't imagine many situations where somone couldn't get onto the Internet for the nessaserry 5 mins to complete the transactio, and if this was the case could not find someone to do it on their behalf

This very, very much.

Glasto shows that you can be a huge festival with the huge names without becoming another big gig in a field, I've heard stories of V only allowing Virgin brand cola to be sold at the stalls, bacon rolls with two rashers of bacon for a fiver and all the others, having gone to T in the Park up until 2007 where the line-up became too NME orientated and the tickets too expensive for me, it's refreshing to be at a festival where if you miss out on a ticket, it's sheer bad luck.

The whole lack of the arena/campsite layout, the fact that there are cash bars with a decent variety, the sheer amount of entertainment and an eclectic portfolio of entertainment, such a great amount of friendly people, there's no other big festival quite like it.

I know that things in life are often put in some sort of good or evil scenario, but whatever side Michael and Emily Eavis are on, I want to be on the same side too. For being such an amazing festival, the money and awareness it raises for charities properly rebuilds my usually shattered faith in humanity come the end of June for the last couple of years.

Having said that, what? No f**king Radiohead? Sort it out Eavis!

I like the ticketing system Glasto operates. It means that those who want to go have the same chance as everyone else of getting tickets.

The only reason I can see other festivals not doing the same is the false demand Ebay etc put on the tickets. If say T or V introduced the same system I don't think it would sell out so quickly and maybe it wouldn't sell out at all.

The amount of T tickets for sale on Ebay between now and July will be over 12 pages most days and I imagine V will be similar

People see a chance to make cash so they buy the tickets in bulk, it sells out and creates a false demand, then genuine goers end up paying over the odds. Next year more buy them up for selling and the circle continues. 4 tickets per card/address is never regulated.

The organisers of T couldn't care less who gets the tickets and what someone does with them as long as they get the tickets shifted.

I'll take the Glasto system any day
