Just got back from Cherry Ghost's excellent gig at Manchester Cathedral. Simon Aldred confirmed they will be playing Glastonbury and other festivals this summer.

Fantastic news, I love the first album and was gutted to see their Union Chapel date in London was taking place while I was in Spain, while definitely try to see them.

Fantastic news - hope they don't have a slot similar to last year's where they clash with a number of other acts. Realistically, they should get an early Other Stage set or mid-afternoon at the Park or JP tent. Believe their Union Chapel gig is tonight - was an incredible venue when I saw Jeff Tweedy there last June. If I knew I could definitely get a cheap ticket I'd go and tout one - but the cost of travel is about 10% of the glasto balance and I'm not convinced the UC would attract many touts.

Saw them at glasto in 2007? on the park stage brilliant. Have seen them about 5 times since. I didn't buy tickets for Manchester because they came out not long after I had just seen them in Preston.

Avalon would be a great venue for them.

The two bands thing came from the Glasto Earth website so not 100%. I started a thread on here about it but can't remember what I called it.
