I would be chuffed to bits if Beyonce played on what is fastly becoming the Pyramid Pop Stage. This would free up vital space for me and my Glasto friends to go find some real music instead of having to suffer that shite.

My aim is not to upset anyone on this thread, its just a true reflection of how i feel. xxx

wow to say Glasto is meant to be so full of tolerant and easy going people, some of the attitude on these forums towards artists and who should or should not play is quite harsh. I thought Glasto was all about the experience? Saying things like -

What the hell is this? They are both brilliant for people that think Party In The Park is a festival - They are both utterly dreadful if you have any taste in music or, indeed, a soul. Their music is made to sell records and for no other reason. Either would be an utterly dreadful booking. Seriously, grow up!

Wow, so if anybody listens to anything that you don't happen to approve of, they have no soul or no taste in music? Get your head out of your own arse boy, any real music lovers will openly embrace any type of music and not be defined by what they consider "cool". I bet you only listen to The Doors and The Beatles eh. I have to listen to enough of this type of shit from the person I sit with at work who will only listen to "French house music 'cos it's sooo cool and everything else in the entire world is shit!". Yet she can only name 2 French house music artists!

One of the more entertaining reserve games of the season. Genuinely didn't mind losing for the first time I can remember. Don't get me wrong, I wanted us to win, just, I really wasn't bothered. However, I must take issue with your implication that Spurs are lacking in art, craft, dynami(ci!)sm and excitement. Three words. van. der. Vaart. They are, however, words that could not be further removed from appropriate to describe the drivel the two subjects in hand churn out on an all too frequent basis.

    • Orbital opening the Other stage is a bold choice!
    • Great start for them
    • Thanks so much - that's very helpful. Someone else mentioned getting a train from Loughborough to East Midlands Parkway, and then a festival shuttle from there to the site. I think they were then going to come back on the Skylink Derby to Loughborough - I assume this is because the trains don't run as late as the Skylink, otherwise they would just come back the same way they came?! Is the transport hub a long way from the main stage? Just wondering what time I would need to leave Linkin Park to be sure of getting a shuttle. As I say, I am sure it will all be clear on the day, even after a few beers! Just hope the rain stays away...
    • I really don't think they would put Olivia Rodrigo on Occident stage. If it was her, they would put her in earlier Mordor slot and move Big Thief or Little Simz to Occident.   Fontaines DC are more probable, but don't really match the hype. However, again, if the hype was real, the artist would end up in Mordor.   That being said, I would love to see Fontaines DC tonight.
    • After all the good advice on here I had a nice visit to the site earlier in the week.    Walked down from Pilton village to Hitchen Hill and down the footpath to the Wood by Woodies.    Really strange seeing the site empty of 100,000 people. There is far more hedges and woodland on the site than you remember when the festival is on. Can see the stone circle and some structures still up on site. And looks like Worthy View has some camping going on there during the summer too.   Lots was fenced off with electric fencing to help wth the cattle grazing. Is really amazing how they set up the site as its hard enough accessing the area by car and foot nevermind all the kit needed to set the festival up. As others said you can't walk the whole site but nice to see the site again after a few years away   Pilton is also a lovely village with a nice village hall shop and post office attached, and got to speak to some locals who told me a few tales of past festivals down the years. One house for sale there would be lovely to live in - if only I had £2 million going spare
