Although I know what you're getting at, it's a slippery slope. My taxes pay the saleries of teachers but that doesn't give me the right to know what they spend their wages on.

yea i have no problem with benefits for what they're intended i.e. those who are unemployed but genuinely seeking work / people who cant work due to a disability

but it grinds my gears when I read about people who havent worked for 20years 'bad back' but then they're seen playing golf or boxing or something

you'll have plenty of work if you chose to become that
