Help re ticket!

I've been offered a ticket for £250. It's a workers ticket from a dj who is working there, but has a spare. Apparently it's just a wrist band that you show to gain entry.

I've got a mate at Glasto now who could meet him to check it out and pay him.

Was just wondering if anyone knows how the workers wrist bands work. Do you not need any i.d for them?

I'm desperate to go, but don't want to trail all the way there, only to find I can't get in!

What do you reckon?

Thanks

I don't understand how, if you are so desperate to go, you didn't manage to get a ticket before now?

If your mate is prepared to try and meet this person and check it's all legit before you get there then go for it I guess. £250 is a hell of a lot of money though, especially since you've already missed 2 days of the build up?!

Be careful! Security is hotter than hot this year, you need the ticket to go with it as well, you won't get in without the ticket, the wristband and maybe even a pass out to my knowledge.

Sorry I don't mean to rain on your parade but I am a local who was on site last night and I was rigorously checked, 2 people even checked my ticket, made me remove my sunglassess....the tickets are also scanned on the way in and when you leave the site.

That's why I cannot see you getting in with just the wristband. Although, on the up side, I went in on an easy pass last year with no problems, but I bet your bottom dollar you need to give the wristband back to the person you get it from, once you're on site. ;)

thanks for your reply. The bloke reckons he only has to show his id to pick up the 4 tickets that he has ordered.

What's an easy pass?

I wouldn't care about giving the wristband back to him inside the festival if this was the case, as long as I could get in in the first place :-)

Do you think it sounds dodgy then?

Easy pass is for site workers and locals, it's a different coloured wristband. (Unless things have changed this year) I believe it is neon green this year.

I wouldn't like to say if it's dodgy or not, but put it this way, if it was me I wouldn't hand over any cash until you are on site. If in doubt get a mate from on site to go and meet him offsite and walk in the gates with him, with the band on, to make sure it works.

I hope it works out for you. I want everyone to feel the love in regard to the festival. :)

thanks brighteyes.

I've texted him and said that unless he's willing to meet my friend (who's already in!) outside the gate and walk him through with the wristband to show it works, I'm not interested. Also only willing to pay 200 as I can't get there till tomorrow and will have missed a few days.

Hi have now got the chance to buy a ticket off someone on ebay who can meet me with the ticket. I'd be willing to give her 150 for it.

Ticket looks totally legit. She is certainly younger than me and more petit, but does have same colour hair and eyes.

How closely do they look at the tix do you reckon?

Have I got any hope of getting in if I wear sunnies?

Thanks

I think you'll be fine. If they say anything just say that the pic was taken over 3 years ago and laugh. DON'T make a big deal with sunglasses and a hat, just act cool and confident, not like you are trying to hide away. They asked me to take my glasses off, although my friend got through with her ticket being barely glanced at and she wasn't wearing glasses, co-incidence? No idea.

Good luck. I hope to see a post from you after the festival telling us all that you had a fabulous time. :D

I'm in here with a Workers wristband. Been using it since Tuesday: no ID checks - it has 'easy pass out' written on it as you can get in and out of the site simply by flashing the wristband. I also have a photo ID card but you only use that one to get into your workplace or your workers campsite - if you just want access to the festival you dont need it. The wristband is white and has two black and white photos of Michael Eavis on it.

    • No worries, it's a perfectly fair question to ask. I would expect people to be talking at the back & near the bars & that is where I would want them to be talking. If your group are enjoying yourselves & the music & briefly chatting to say how much you are loving a certain song etc, you would be an ideal group to stand behind.   My issue is with people having full blown conversations (usually unrelated what is on the stage) whilst being surrounded by people who are trying to listen to the music. This was happening in the middle and towards the front of all stages, & so you have limited options to move around & you may have spent 20 minutes waiting for the band trying to get the closest position that you can. If there's a group of 8 people, there may be 2 or 3 that like the band & the rest will start talking if the music isn't their thing. This may be the norm now for festivals, and if it is, that's ok & I will focus on a band's own gigs & UK based new music festivals.    I'm also not including consequences of my own decision making. I saw Geese on Wednesday so went to Occident after Men I Trust finished so it was understandable there would be chatting that far back. Similarly, getting to The XX after Olivia Rodrigo along with most of the site, I knew my chance of a good spot & a chat-free zone had gone so that was completely reasonable.   PS. I went to Bilbao BBK in 2023 & 2025 & enjoyed it. For Pulp & Kylie in 2025, I got a position early & was surrounded by a respectful & fun crowd for both. The UK non-headlining bands tend to go on the undercover 3rd stage, & most people like to congregate outside so you can usually get close to the front of that stage.
    • Interview on 6 music earlier, was going to get the album to have a listen, but comes out the day they play the festival
