Coach traffic

i think every road into the site is rammed, nobody is safe! but ive never been on a coach so i wouldnt know for sure. i just seem to have a vague memory of seeing coaches in the epic jam last year, and someone said (something to the effect of) "oh dear, the coaches in the traffic have to go back and pick more people up, theyre going to be very late".

but maybe i dreamt that. I can never be too sure about these things. <_<

No the National Express and Seetickets coaches do not have priority, they sit in the traffic with everyone else.

The Shuttle buses on the East side from Castle Cary and B&W showground were given priority in the heavy traffic last year (by the police) but whether this was planned or just a reaction to the chaos I dont know

i've always gone by national express coach (from london) and never had to sit in traffic - even last year! though i think last year was just out of luck and we missed all the problems by about 30mins.

i remember sometimes driving past cars waiting in traffic too...

To those who've got National Express coaches before, what time did you leave? I'm leaving from Brum, about 7/8 - ticket says we should arrive on site by about 11/12 but I'm guessing this doesn't take into account traffic? Are the traffic jams later on in the day or pretty much from the get-go??

    • Another one from Sheffield DocFest this weekend, Earth Wind & Fire docu, directed by Questlove. Sensational archive footage, contributions from band members, family, plus a lot of very big fans (Stevie, Lionel, Flea, the Obamas) and a warts n all assessment of the genius / flawed human being that was Maurice White. Also, I never realised he started out as a jazz drummer with Ramsay Lewis. Well worth a watch.
