In the right thread this time :P

Reports that ourselves and the fake saints will be playing Real Vallodolid (sp) in pre season. Good to see us stepping things up from our usual Forfar/Cowden types fixtures. Bolton, Man U and RV so far :)

We've signed right winger Cleveland Taylor today. Has played most of his career in the english lower leagues but quite positive about this signing :)

3-1 win against Forfar in our first pre-season game. Parkin scored one and won a pen for the other. Both set up by Taylor so good to see the new signings looking lively.

Think I might go to our friendly against real vallodolid the week after the man utd game. Chance to see Paraguay's world cup keeper Justo Villar and ex man utd player Manucho :P

Still seems to be lingering talk that Neil Mccann is involved with the club, would provide so much needed left sided cover IF we can get him cheap (pay as you play deal maybe) but would need a fair bit of work to get back to match fitness I think.

Think we still need a RB but aside from that, I'm happy with what we have :) A few players are only on 6 month contracts but that bridge can be crossed come January.

Roll on the first game :D

    • It was fine, just hectic! The youngsters were mostly very well-behaved. The weather was a real bonus, although surprisingly chilly evenings - I guess it's the altitude - and the area between sound and main stage was a massive dust bowl.
    • Ive always had a lot of time for the mighty Shots, a pal of mine used to commentate on their games for Sussex Counties radio and he'd sneak me into the ground for midweek games, and we'd even nick a tea and a plate of sandwiches. This is back in the George Borg days, so um . . a little while ago now
    • Hmm, weird- Rush are playing the Co-Op live on the 12th and the 14th, and Megadeth are the meat in that sandwich - so they have to roll everything in, roll it out again, only to roll it back in and then out - here's hoping for a prog hokey-cokey with all manner of bizarre time signatures and drum solos!
    • Depends what you mean by seeing 'more stuff' about it.    I definitely don't trust the original Sun article.
