Hmmm no.... the reason you're not getting upset about ticket touts proves you're not a genuine music fan, or you have no objections to being the mug in the future who's lining the pockets of the hero who's 'just trying to make a few quid'

Your statement of "so your telling me that an if an opportunity to make a few quid without really doing anything came your way you'd say no thanks." implies that you have no morals about who may be suffering in the process of making said few quid. Just further along the scale that's all.

No the reason I'm not getting upset about them is there are worse things in life than ticket touts. If nobody buys from them they will dissappear. Thats not going to happen so no point in crying about it

This woman was trying to make a measly couple of hundred quid on a ticket. I dont care, some do so fair enough.

If somebody was to offer you a ridiculous amount of money for your ticket, say 10k, would you accept? Of course you would.

Morales and principles right out the window and i dont care what any of you say.

are you a Tory supporter?

Just asking.

Putting your morals up against others just shows your lack of judgement when it comes to other people...

So far this year I have given away, free of charge, 1 Glastonbury ticket, 1 Reading ticket and 1 Beautiful days ticket... why? because the rules say so and I would never think twice about doing so...

So there you go, £475 quids worth of tickets......

The difference between you and many on this thread is though we sometimes do have the ability to make a "bit of cash on the side" our morals and principles do not allow it..... but obviously not you ;)

since when was the festival a non profit. I don't hear anyone calling the yellow shops scum when they are bumping up the prices of everything. and if its an ethical thing where are the complaints about coke being sold on site with wateraid being one of the main charities

And somebody has so I can't see it but from what people have described on here it was just some tout that couldn't go and wanted to sell the ticket to someone that could at a hugely inflated price therefore making it harder for the rest of us to go next year

What kind of person of foresight would report her to Ebay?

thats the spirit

your statements of 'everybody would do it, we'd all make a quick buck if we could, were all the same' are totally destroyed by this e-fester, but a total un-willingness to look facts in the face will get you through.

corrected for you

if you look through the thread you will find no-one that has any issue with any that cant go for genuine reasons that is selling their ticket at near cost. once your talking about doubling the price you are encouraging touts, there will be more next year and more legitimate fans will not be able to go because of them

OK fair enough, and in fact that makes a lot more sense. The fact that you're not that bothered about going to Glastonbury is no doubt why you couldn't care less about all the touts.

As you may have noticed for a lot of people on this board Glastonbury is the highlight of their year and they wouldn't miss it for the world and consequently are not keen on paying over inflated prices.

I'm pretty sure the yellow shops' prices would be much higher if the festival authorities didn't set limits. I know that the festival sets a site-wide cap on the price of a cup of coffee.

Again, it's an example of the festival not wanting to be somewhere where market economics pushes prices sky high.

You'll have to explain that. Possibly some sort of scummy behaviour by the Coca Cola company in drought hit areas that I don't know of?
