Not really a tradition as this is my first time but the plan for me is to -

- Pitch up.

- Have a beer/cider and a joint

- Walk away from my friends for a couple of hours

- Find some cool people to have a beer with and maybe another joint

- Find my friends again

- Wait for the magic to happen

But then again, nothing ever goes to plan.

At every festival I go to, once the tent's up, I roll an excessively fat, pure zoofta and crack 2 tins of Spesh.

Guaranteed to put your head in "that place". It's like a festival "on" switch.

The tradition we have is skinning up and start cheering, however this year a bottle of champers aswell as what was previously mentioned might be in order. 40th anniversary calls for it!

My second time this year but this year i am going with three newbies ( brother and nephew and friend), we are going to get there really early, find a pitch and then relax and charge ourselves up and go to the Pyramid for the footie. Them i plan to take them to the Brothers bat and with coder in hand take then up to the Stone circle to see the view.

Get in at 8:00am after kipping in the carpark tuesday night. Pitch my small, shithole of a tent and chuck everything in.

Have a breakfast beer and smoke, then explore what will be my first Glasto.

...after we get the car parked the tradition starts, we do not unload the car without first having a few cans and greeting the glasto goers!!

wander to nearest long drops for that real feeling that 'we are here'

Last year was my first year, but there're a couple of things which I think will stick. Shouting "YEAAAHHH! YEAHHHH! YEAHHH!" For a minute or two is one. Lighting a VERY satisfactory fag is another.

Once I've pitchced my tent (It's a popup thank god) I have another fag, open a beer and wander off in a direction.

Once everythings up from the motor and the tent is pitched and ive nested in I take my shoes and socks off and feel the grass beneath my feet

back to tent, tune in to the festival radio station on my radio, brew up. Chill, watch the world, slowly slip into festival mode while sippin a cuppa.

Whan that is done, go for a slow wonder through the traders to the Cider bus.
