It all depends on who your neighbours are. Look for mixed groups and befriend them, that way you have someone looking out for you should you get into an (incredibly unlikely) spot of bother :)

(glad I resisted the urge to say "my tent".... Hang on.... Did that count? )

Generally you don't get that sort of thing at Download with it being in the middle of exams *touch wood*

I've never seen it get anything like as bad as it's been at Reading the last few years.

Ive avoided blue camp since it turned into the Gaza strip in 2006.

But that was one year and since then all the sites have been fine.

I stayed in Red last year which had a great vibe, just next door to Blue which is the main one really

But as has been said, the vibe is great at Download because it doesnt attract anywhere near the same ammount of NME reading borderline chav f**ktards. Im not bitter about them ruining Reading...at all...honest.

Reading used to be a good festival. :( Moons ago, when I were a lass...

I went one Sunday a couple of years ago for metallica, if I ever go again it will either be on a day ticket or staying in a hotel. Im never staying on that campsite again. I'll probably never go to Reading again, tbf. Its a shame, I've got some fantastic memories from there. :(

Yeah, Reading has gone massively downhill since I first went in 2003, the atmosphere as a result of the festival being "cool" has been ruined by trendy w*nkers who know f**k all about music. I remember there being a mix of punks, metalheads and old school rockers the first few times I went, now it's all designer wellies and "omgI'msorandom" knob heads...

I have a slight hope this year will be better, what with a rockier line-up and a V line-up full of trendy shite to attract the sheep.

Nearly pissed myself when I went to Leeds to see metallica and AX7 where on and Shadows voice was f**ked and he asked did anyone want to come on stage and sing for him, some little chav bitch went wild at the front and he asked her about 3 times if she was sure she knew the song. she got up on stage didn't have a clue what song it was and I doubt she'd even heard of AX7 before and just made a complete tit of herself. Shadow was that pissed he just said it was over and walked off stage HAHA.

if anyone has the video of this please post as i'd love to see it again.

To be honest v is getting worse yr after yr with chav twats, but reading is just hostile in the campsites, when i first went in 2002 it was like download is now. Shame it got ruined :(
