So a few weeks back i posted about proposing at Glastonbury.

Well its happening, ring sorted.

The image i have is this:

Sunset-stone circle-banner held from one stone to another with the words "marry me" (very traditional i know) and me infront of said banner down on one knee with the ring.

So here comes the wierd question, how far (roughly) is it from one stone to another? preferebly the ones that would mean she would have the views on Glastonbury behind rather than people pissing in hedges.lol

Also is anyone would like to help in holding the banner, if youl be around at the time please do. Im only going with her and 1 other, and the 1 other will be used to keep her from not looking untill its ready

Also. any thoughts on my idea?

The stones are only a couple of metres apart but it might be a bit difficult to attach the banner to them as they are quite low. My suggestion would be to come into the Kings Meadow from the direction of the Park and have the banner facing you then with the backdrop of the trees and the wooden dragon rather than her having to walk from the bottom which is a lot further. Good luck and I hope she accepts!

Was hoping for the wednesday night, but im sure no ones going to volunteer as the footballs on. I was planning on watching it myself. Need to look up sunset times.

It doesnt actually have to be sunset, im swaying towards the idea of seeing all the lights in the background. Aslong as its light enough to see the banner. Orrrrr i recruit like 30 people with torches to shine on it :P

i reckon you'll be fine just grabbing a couple of people to hold the banner when you're there. The Glastonbury spirit means I'm sure you'll have no problems finding some people to volunteer :) if you arrange for people before hand you might end up worrying about whether they'll remember or not, and there's hardly a shortage of people at the fest! ;)

Good luck!

So pleased you decided to do it!

Pre-arranging help might be bit a bit of a stress. Much better to send you mate to find someone near by when you decide that this is the perfect moment.....

Will be looking out for you in your t-shirts

Good luck and be sure to come back and tell us about it afterwards.

    • Proper special gig tonight. They won't mean much to most people, but The Dogs D'Amour were one of the most significant bands of my youth.   Tyla, yer main man of said band, was playing in Birkenhead tonight. Not many there, but it was going fine. Then he decided he didn't like the smoke and the flashing lights so suggested moving the gig to the beer garden. Off we all went, and it was magical. Like having your favourite musician play in your garden. I absolutely loved it.   Before:     After:
