Your MP3 Playlist

I'm being nosy here. I need to bulk up my Download playlist. Suggest me some songs that are on your playlist for this year.

So far mine is a number of acoustic songs and entries from Eurovision... pathetic? Maybe... but... I'm appealing for help right now. I have 4 hours from leaving my house to meeting up with everyone.

The Deaftones? :P. I dunno which part of putting their name like that is worse, the 'The' or the 'Deaf'.

But er, get some of the footie anthems for Sat fo sho :P.

Infact I'm not sure if you want songs to put on an mp3 to play at download, or bands to listen to beforehand. Er, yeah.

What delete stuff?!? Are you mad?!? haha

No I think it should be OK - it only loads tracks on the current playlist, so unless its on shuffle all it will last. And with the amount of death metal I have on there, no one is going to want it on shuffle

Plus I have two of them and I can salvage the battery from the broken one if I need to. :)

Well if you don't care about BFMV or TCV I suggest you check out Devil Sold His Soul... especially if you're into Deftones or metal / ambient stuff... yeah.

Erm, there really isn't that much else to recommend imo. I really like Tiger Please, remind me a bit of Pearl Jam and other grunge type stuff.

So far, my list has got:

3 Inches of Blood

AC/DC

Aerosmith

Airbourne

As I Lay Dying

Breed 77

Crime In Stereo

Deftones

The Dillinger Escape Plan

Ginger

Jim Jones Revue

Killswitch Engage

HIM

Lamb of God

Lawnmower Deth

Megadeth

Napalm Death

Nonpoint

Rage Against The Machine

I'm going through A-Z so there's still a few bands to add, as well as a few I've only got on CD. And there's going to be much more besides.

My campsite will shred!!!

TBH, the CDs I've done for the campsite don't really have many Download bands on - don't have that many of them :( Mine look something like this:

Pop/Punk mix with stuff like Blink, Team America Soundtrack, Billy Talent, NOFX, Andrew WK, Rancid, The Clash

Grungey/nu metal mix, with some rap thrown in - Slipknot, Easy Star Allstars, Cypress Hill, Slash, Faith No More, Tricky, Rage

Dance/Indie mix - Pendulum, The Hives, Dead Weather, Justice, Enter Shikari, Mark Lanegan, Hot Chip, The Subways

Classic Rawk mix - Chuck Berry, Iron Maiden, Metallica, Queen, Bon Jovi, Wolfmother, and... Journey :D

Then, whatever didn't fit anywhere else - King Blues, Cancer Bats, Alestorm, Weezer, Gorillaz, Fugazi

Party at ours?

    • Would Slayer & Gojira both headline Hellfest? I think Deftones & Slipknot will be in Europe again.
    • Had a dig at what splits might look like (for Leeds):   Fri -    Main - Chase and Status / Florence / Role Model / Blossoms (SG) / The K's / Arthur Hill / Dylan John Thomas / Westside Cowboy / The Clause   New Stage - Kneecap / Kettama / Duke Dumont / Holly Humberstone / Paris Paloma / December 10 / Violet Grohl / Alex Spencer / Kilu   Sat -    Main - Charli XCX / Fontaines / Skepta / Geese / Skye Newman / Keo / Overpass / Rose Gray / Unpeople   New Stage - Declan McKenna / James Marriott / DJ EJ / Florence Road / Clementine Douglas / Cardinals / Bleech 9:3 / Vilanelle / Day We Ran    Sun -    Main - Dave / Raye / Sombr / ??? (Gunna at Reading) / Kingfishr / Nine Vicious / Maisie Peters / Slayyyter / Clara La San   New Stage - Jade / Josh Baker / Rossi / Absolutely / Speed / Gurriers / Basht / Cruz Beckham & the Breakers / Ruby Roberts    I'm guessing alongside the Warehouse there's likely going to be another stage as there's a number of smaller acts not included in those two stages above (possibly just BBC Intro)
    • but you could say that for many fortunately some are prepared to drop
