Camping near acoustic area

Looking to camp in area of acoustic tent this year, anyone got any ideas for quiet camping in that area? Dont mind walking within reason but Paines was a bit too far out last time. Looking on map, Kidney Mead looks the nearest, but have heard it gets packed and lively (dont want to be camping in party central)..any advice welcome

That's tricky. Kidney Mead is close, but it's also pretty lively. I camped up in Big Ground a couple of years ago, it's fair close to Acoustic but it's not the quietest. I guess if you've got kids, or can squeeze in at the bottom of Cockmill Meadow, that might be the best bet.

Not just lively, but dont want to be camping with tents on top of each other (i know i'm asking a lot :P My 17 year old son is going with us, so dont suppose that will count as young kids. Heard Woodsies is quiet, anyone know if its a long hike to acoustic area.

Kidney mead is always packed but tends to be quiet during the night. Far away from the late night stuff. So get a good nights kip. Friendly atmosphere with the same faces returning every year. Got 4 15 yr old boys with us this year :P . I'd recommend it. Really not that lively either. Easiest access to acoustic.
