It appears Bono were to grace one of the most decadent places on Earth with his presence. Lord Jesus has given him time to reflect and return to the righteous path.

"Judge not, that ye be not judged, for with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again"

Matthew 7.1.

"He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone"

John 8.7

What exactly is the point of your moronic truthful posts?

Corrected for you.

The god-botherers enjoy coming round to tell me that I'm going to hell. They have no problem with interrupting my day to "save" me.

Likewise, we're allowed to interrupt them to "save" them too. :P

At least us atheists don't go around thinking that our god has told us it's alright to park illegally &/or inconsiderately - we know that's just us being selfish c**ts. :P:P

Honestly. What exactly is the point of your moronic posts?

Your childish messages written by someone who has no understanding of what they're talking about, with stupid quotes you've obviously just grabbed from Wikipedia or somewhere are literally as meaningless as the opening posters ones. They don't prove any point, don't further the argument and have literally no substance whatsoever. Seriously, they make you look as close-minded and stupid as the opening poster.

However, as I said, I see no difference between religious nuts simply quoting random bits from the bible without entering serious discussion, and moronic kids simply shouting random rubbish along the lines of "the pope likes paedophiles". Both are equally pointless.

So, what purpose do all those gems serve? Will those beautifully articulated arguments convince WWJD? No. Do they further the general discussion about religion? No. Do they say anything new, anything which most readers didn't already know? No. Do they even properly consider the intricacies of each of the points? No.

Now granted, you have since said you're "fighting fire with fire" but why? WWJD will never be convinced, and certainly not by stupid one-liners like those, so what exactly is the point in them?

Well, given they are from the New Testament, and were supposedly spoken by Jesus Christ, and they contradict his argument by saying he shouldn't judge the rest of us, and unless he's infallible, he's got sins of his own - and he'd recognise them at such - I'd suggest they would be more likely to make him rethink his own position than people banging on about whether there is a God or not.

Yep, I'm sure he's re-thinking his life as we speak. After all, people who go around preaching are easily swayed by people shouting back. I thought the Motherf*cker at the end of your comment was the icing on the cake - it was probably the bit that really made him realise that he should listen to your wisdom.

And I suppose your equally flippant remark about the Qur'an was also for WWJD's benefit... I thought that statement was equally well thought through and useful.

See my edit on the Apostasy point.

I'm not asking him to rethink his life. I'm asking him to apply the basic rules of his own faith before he goes round telling other people that they are all damned.

The edit wasn't there when I quoted you but, to be honest, it is in my view exactly the problem with your one-liner type replies. Your comment about the Qur'an is throwaway. It doesn't take account of the intricacies of reality, so it serves no purpose for discussion, and could easily be viewed as offensive by an outsider looking in.
