Oaf - any news on why Rooney isn't starting? Is he on the bench?

And when you say noisy - are we talking vuvuzela noise or general noise?

Yeah, he did play the 2 warm up games I suppose. Fine by me - don't risk him at all!!!

You know what - I am really warming to the vuvuzelas. I hated them in the confeds cups but the more I hear them, the more original it sounds. It makes the atmosphere that little bit different to normal games.

Its an African world cup... I don't want to go to a European WC in africa :) They get the thumbs up from me :)

Interesting comment... Its currently 26c... They reckon the temp will fall by as much as 15c during the game :O

I packed last night... Its bloody impossible!! Days can got as hot as 26+... Night can go below freezing... and everything in between :)

Got a huge suitcase for a five night stay :lol:

      All you can say is...     If he couldn't convince nations that really would've benefitted from the short-term hit of an up-front £50mil payment by this time next year, what hope did he have?   Guess we'll now just have to monitor and see if this could derail Infantino's plans to be re-elected FIFA President next year.

      Spider-Man: Brand New Day   Highlight was a bloke reacting to the post-credit scene by going "Holy f**k it's Tobey Maguire!" despite the scene having no reference to him at all. Which made my close-to-full screening of the film laugh a lot.   Film was pretty good. It was interesting as much as an exploration of the ramifications of the end of No Way Home and being about isolationism and male loneliness, which I thought it actually did quite well. Though I do ponder if I liked it as much as the other 3 Tom Holland Spider-Man movies. Sadie Sink was good tbf, while I also liked Jon Bernthal as Punisher, enough that I might go watch his Disney+ shows.   Seem to have had a Marvel kick recently having also watched Thunderbolts and Shang-Chi, both of which I thought were pretty good.

      Wolf Alice won't get headliner for Reading either, they will sub if they play, that is where their level has stopped I feel. Both TFG and Skyvip for the big shows this year was just a stretch too far. Every headliner this year is bigger than them too I'd say.   Agree with Capaldi I don't think Yungblud will be at Reading. I would guess Bludfest 3 or Download.
