Efests Virus

I was notified by a friend apparently there is a virus going around on efestivals... I am yet to see anything unusual myself, but thought I would pass on the message guys.

I've recently been infected with a trojan, nto sure if it's efest related though!

Yep there is two large threads about it in Discussions and the Glastonbury chat thread, so it seems pretty serious.

A lot of people are having the problem, if your not already stay clear of this site, stops you from running programs and will not even let you use task manager. Brilliant, add the constant virus alert updates and offers to scan your computer it eventually becomes near enough impossible to browse aroudn without wanting to chuck your pc.

AVG Anti Virus seems to have caught it on my computer, had one of these viruses a few weeks back and the are a complete pain to get rid of.

Norton on mine keeps picking up .exe files and blocking them... everything still seems to be runnign normal apart from efests going slightly slower.

Yeap, usually works fine for me not this time though even in safe mode. Detects the virus, says it removed it but yet the virus lives

Have you disabled system restore?

I'm pretty sure I never, I wouldn't even know how to do it if I'm being perfectly honest. Is that likely to be my problem?
