Frames
It's hard i'd prob watch Boyz Noice or Good Shoes but I then think I will never get the chance to see U2. So should I see them for the experience. Don't dislike U2 but not really into their music.
johntrfc
See The Bootleg Beatles, you know you wanna! I can tell by the 'Help!' HEY! where did U2 come from? i wanna change my vote! lol Edited April 29, 2010 by johntrfc
Langdale Wolf
Having looked at your record collection, and obviously having extensive knowledge of your musical and personal preferences, and of course bearing in mind I know your exact circumstances (how many times you've seen each of the above acts, where you'll be before the headline act comes on etc) then I have deduced that U2 is the act for you. It's amazing what you can deduce from the word 'Help!'.
jimbo68
U2 for me, last time i saw them was on the Joshua Tree tour so thought i'd give them another go.
Crouch15
This is probably a stupid question but hey ho!!!! Is fatboy slim going to do a greatest hits set or is he going to do a few of his songs and mix in random other artists songs? I said it was stupid........... Langdale Wolf
Love it Ok then Never seen any of the acts mentioned before Pre Headline act will probably be Hot Chip on other stage Mates will be seeing U2 Recently reset my last fm at end of march so obviously music trends are not totally evened out yet, tend to go through stages of listening to one artist/band on repeat here is the link though http://www.last.fm/user/john_trfc
jimbo68
Anyway, a few reasons why I'd go for U2 if you weren't sure: It'll be an EPIC set from an absolutely huge band You're bound to know a few songsYou'll probably kick youself if you miss themA lot more chance of seeing the others at another time Of course, if you don't actually like their music, it'd be a bit daft to sit through 2 hours of it. I really think U2 will be quite the spectacle. Really looking forward to seeing them.
ukslim
The solution to this kind of dilemma is always to go with your gut when the time comes. I used this technique to choose between Super Furry Animals and Radiohead. For weeks running up to the festival, I was undecided. On the day, the choice was absolutely obvious. tjefffrench
Where are the Flaming Lips? Best Act on all Friday! I vote for Fatboy, the back catalogue alone will make you dance throughout the set
laps100
Out of your choices...... Bootleg Beetles! My choice.... GOOD SHOES!
jameshunt
Why not list all of the Friday night headliners or at least have an 'other' option? New Model Army for me headlining the Avalon Stage.
4AssedMonkey
From the choices you have put up I'd go Bootleg Beatles. Don't like U2, never really been a huge DJ set fan either and the XX are overhyped and undertalented IMO, very dull. I'm actually tempted to catch the Bootleg Beatles set. Could be a really god singalong and nice atmosphere. Plus it's a short hop from there to the late night areas.
RoyC
Complete no-brainer, the best live act in the world are headlining on the Friday. On the Other Stage.
Jack Attack
Can't be bothered with U2 these days, BUT it is Glasto. I have a feeling it will be rather good
