After reading the other thread about benicassim i have grown more and more annoyed as the weeks have passed about the number of people who just sit there and moan about the festivals line up this year so im starting this one only for people who are excited about the festival this year and want to discuss band recommendations/good songs/good memories etc etc basically anything that isn't slagging off the line up. In my opinion if its that bad dont go.

This being my 4th Beni i have never been that bothered about who plays as i know i will have an amazing time anyway. personally this year is one of the best lineups i have seen. While there are no 'wow' headliners i am still very excited about seeing The Prodigy, kasabian, vampire weekend, dizzee, klaxons, ian brown, hot chip, temper trap, courteeners, two door cinema club, Leftfield, the special, ellie goulding, the cribs , foals, julian casablancas to name a few. Plus all the new bands i discover each year.

Please leave the negative comments for other threads as the festival is fast approaching and i am getting very excited.

Surely seeing new bands is the whole point of going to festivals, no? I'd never heard of Hot Chip before I went to Beni '08 and now they're top of my list of acts to make sure I catch. Although Sod's Law says they'll be playing on Sunday night when I can't go

Plus liking what i hear of two door cinema club. Gonna have a listen to midnight juggernauts tonight, sound exciting.

Oh and how could i forget Hot Chip, for me there new album is the best by miles. how catchy is hand me down your love? Cant wait!!!!!!!!!!!!

here was me thinking it was a miracle that there was only one beni thread this year and you have to go start another!!! i jest, i am of the positive persuasion also there's usually about 20 threads so only 2 is still good. means folk can just read through the one thread to find info they need

I just got bored of people moaning over and over and over about everything. But your right only one beni thread was unusual. Cant go making it easy for people to find out what they want to know now can we though. Only joking.

true, so many times i have tried to check the site and it has been down. I also remember when the forum was working it did get spammed a lot. basically loads of porn pictures etc Probably not what they had in mind when they set the forum up.

I can understand the spaniards being annoyed with the lack of spanish acts i suppose. I guess if glasto had no british bands then i would be annoyed. But i suppose its about money these days and unfortunately there just aren't many big spanish bands which would sell out a festival. Admittedly if benicassim had more spanish acts it would attract more spaniards to it eliminating the need to attract thousands of brits to it each year but thats just the way its gone over the last few years.

This thread isn't designed to moan at the moaners, just wanted to let them have there moan on the other thread and use this one for good stuff. Everyone is entitled to there opinion about the festival i just only wanted to hear the positive on here as i absolutely love the festival and go each year regardless of the line up. In my opinion the line up in 2008 was the worst of any festival i have ever been to but i still had an absolutely amazing time.

The world is full with people moaning due to their lack of knowledge,if they spent more time investigating whats gonna be there probably they will change their minds,if u expect a top 40 list go somewhere else ,mind u u got vampire weekend,lilly allen,does someone need coldplay ?,and i tell u nothing beats a 3 a.m dance without a jacket on..... ,by the way leftfield its the bollocks for those who dont know them.

Number 1 Act for me though has to be Ian Brown. Big fan of his solo career as well as the Stone Roses.

His new album 'My Way' is brilliant.

Two Bands that I dont really know much about but I'm hearing a lot about are Foals and the Cribs...

I'm going to listen to these over next few days and see what I think

ian brown at glasto 2005 is one of the best gigs i have ever been too. he might not have the voice but he certainly has the songs and the back catalogue. cant wait to see him. hope he slips in a couple of stone roses songs.

Wonder if you guys could clear something up for me ? Can you take your own Alcohol into the arena, we did last year but we hid it just incase

I was on the official website and it says you will not be allowed in with containers over a certain size (including water containers)

Does this mean you can take a certain amount in?

This is my 2nd year going and i cant wait , i was wondering though, has anyone here gone vip pass before, whats it like? is it worth it? and does that include your entry, id hope so coz its very expensive.
