Who do I have to go and see?

I've drawn up a little list of acts I HAVE to go and see:

Stranglers, Rusko, Chase & Status, Seasick Steve, The National, Laura Marling, Christy Moore, Holy f**k, Teddy Thompson, Faithless, Orbital.

Nothing else really stands out for me to be honest.

My question is... can the good people of efests recommend me some similar bands to the ones I have mentioned, that you would recommend I go to see? It doesnt matter if they are well known or not but I would appreciate some proper music suggestions.

Apparently one in the Queens head and another with Billy Bragg in the Leftfield. Should be awesome.

I've seen them twice already, once for the Mathews st festival in Liverpool and once supporting the Pogues in Machester 2 years back. Add to that that I went to see Hugh Cornwall at the acoustic stage (I think) last year and I'm very much a Stranglers veteran now They havent disappointed when I've seen them I have to say.

You've put Christy Moore on your list. I'd therefore recommend Steve Knightley who's playing the Croissant Neuf on Friday. If you've got Spotify, search for Show of Hands - a duo of Steve Knightley and Phil Beer. Try the following tracks if they're on there:

Also, give Seth Lakeman a try. His best album is called Freedom Fields - it's brilliant (and Steve Knightley sings backing vocals on a couple of tracks).
