kindof disappointed they're not higher up a smaller stage but i'm confident their sound will carry and fill the sapce.

ridiculously excited for these, i'll be seeing them in london the week before the festival to finally break my duck of never seeing them, but i'll still be way way up for this.

new album sounding good to me. weekenders is a brilliant track.

I've only had one listen so far. It takes a while to get going and I haven't noticed anything much clever or quirky in the lyrics but then I've always taken a while with this band... just listened to B&G on my lunch break, looking forward to June now :P

I actually really like the new album, I think it sound a lot more mature.

I think they lost their keyboard player and so you don't get the sort of soaring melodies from Boys and Girls but it sounds a more authentic rock album to be, more in the mode of The Replacements - arguably following slightly closer in Bruce's footsteps.

I presume they will have someone guesting on keyboards at Glastonbury, Boys and Girls wouldn't really work without a decent keyboard player.

i couldn't remember where I saw this information originally, so I went to Wikipedia and low and behold they must have got it from the same place I read it...

"Current Hold Steady shows have featured new guitarist Steve Selvidge (formally of Lucero) while Dan Neustadt (also with In Cadeo, formerly of The World/Inferno Friendship Society) played keyboards on Heaven is Whenever"

can't get a standing ticket for the show in london for love nor money :P
