there will be campfires in pretty much every part of the campsite. but on sunday nights, yellow, orange, purple and brown are quite crazy and might not be appropriate for you. red and white are quite laid back, especially white.

Anyone recommend which is a decent campsite, as I hear different colours. Need to suit my 16yr old daughter, 1st festival camping. I hear yellow has/is a bit mad, fires etc. Want fun but something calmer.

Please post!!

Last year Red was the worst campsite for fires. If you don't mind the walk brown is the quietest campsite.

can't say much about last year as I wasn't in Red, but I'm really suprised it was worse than purple/yellow/green. it's always been pretty chilled. white is stupid distance, brown is just about bareable but further from the fun than I'd like, especially if silent disco is in red...

Probably should have made it clear that I was on about Leeds, in Yellow last year we had a few big fires with gas canisters and stuff, the security people got bored of putting them out in the end so just left us to it. They closed Red off because the security people were being bottled and had stuff thrown at them when they tried to put fires out so they just left.

A few other things to bear in mind, at leeds they are campsite DJ's in every campsite that play until 6am every morning, if you want a good nights sleep look out for them when choosing where to pitch because you might not notice them, In White and yellow you will also be able to hear the relentless tent all night. Dont camp by a the path either, because you will get drunk people falling/pissing/walking all over your tent.

orange... gotta be :P

not that far away from everywhere.... got a dj area at the bottom of the hill last year and all the amenities a 3 minute walk away with the main arena being just a 15 minute drunken stroll :P

also easy to get to the riots if your that way inclined :P

We got them to give people something to do other than riot and burn stuff I think, so by that logic you need to riot and burn everything at reading this year :P

    • Guitarricadelafuente was bloody brilliant tonight. This is going to be a very Spanish focussed year for me. Rusowsky dragging out Las Ketchup on Saturday has the potential to be a Prima magic moment.
    • £112 for standard entry. No thank you.
    • Meanwhile Gracie Abrams is £92 for the cheapest with the average price around £160 for lower tier and £103 standing.   First time in a while I've gone from a definite yes to a definite no on price alone.   Amble was £31 this morning.
