Sounds really good, I'll definitely be listening at work on Thursday night.

May I just, also, take this opportunity to shamelessly plug my own Glastonbury-themed show, every Saturday from 6-7pm on efestvials radio. :P

I'll be playing a wide range of stuff from bands to play on any stage at the festival between 1998 and 2010. First show, was last Saturday and went well, but let's get a few more listeners in this week. All requests welcome, too. :P

There's always an autobot doing music from the bigger fests in previous years. You also missed GlastoMongrel2008's punky-skank show earlier this evening.

I guess this thread could be used to reminisce on your favourite Avalon performance over the years. Will give it some thought....

There better be some Hazel O'Connor in here or there will be mucho stamping of feet and long-term sulking :P You have at least 2 years to choose from - 2004 with The Subs or 2008 acoustic. Also any of these would be good :P

Ozric Tentacles (2002)

Arthur Brown (2003)

Black Bud (2004)

Oysterband (2005)

Hayseed Dixie (2005)

Waterboys (2007)

Saw Doctors (2007)

Hobo Jones & Junkyard Dogs (2008)

Proclaimers (2008)

Blockheads (2009)

Lancashire Hotpots (2009) :P

Seth Lakeman (2009)

tugger, my rather old and frazzled mind is not what it was but was that the gig that resulted in that wonderful live from glastonbury cd.

Coz if it was you aint wrong about it being a keystone moment.

I did see them do that set but dont particularly recall it being at the avalon.....

thats just been purchased

i remember how rammed it was - ridiculous, couldnt get within 20 yards of the tent. still mental.

i also remember being so hot (even late at night, oh for 1 more scorcher) that i was throwing some very weird shapes at the back of the crowd wearing only flip flops and shorts

i spent the rest of the night after the gig out side the milk bar dancing till about 7 in the morning

a good day!! :P
