Could Dave do a Rog?

I'd miss all of the likely headliners for a Rog or Dave set.

Only one bit of icing on the cake would be this combination. Rog and Van the Man

I kind of hope he doesn't play Glastonbury this year.

As awesome as it would be, fact is, Eavis turned down his offer to play in 2008. The same year Richard Wright died, who David Gilmour later admitted had a great desire to play an open air festival like Glastonbury that year.

As it turned out, that never happened, because Eavis said the line up was "too full".

No disrespect to Eavis 'n all, and y'know, I'm sure Jay-Z was as life-changing and epic as all the sheep claim he was, but if he couldn't fit David Gilmour (yes, the very same David Gilmour from Pink Floyd) in that year, then in my opinion he doesn't deserve to have him on his festival's bill at all.

Just my opinion though, but I'm a bitter kinda guy.

This has all been done before. Running over the same old ground, so to speak. However, two observations - firstly, I think there was a bit of bad blood between Eavis and Gilmour after that.

And whatever your individual opinion on Jay-Z, or Gilmour is, the fact is he had his acts for that year. He can't just go round bumping people off one stage onto another. Contractually unsound, and would destroy his integrity.

I think it was Macca who offered to play in 2003, and was told there wasn't the space for him then, and would he mind playing in 2004 instead.

It's no disc 2 - granted - but it's not that bad.

But obviously, it's building up to DSOTM and one of the greatest encores ever.

Now, DG doing DSOTM at Glasto - could you imagine that???????!

I saw Roger do Dark Side Of The Moon in Earl's Court with Nick Mason in 2007.

It was incredible.

However, I'm always going to have a soft spot for Gilmour/Wright, so unfortunately, as good as Roger was in 2007, David Gilmour beat that entire set (Dark Side and all) with Echoes in 2006. Breathtaking. And so sad that it just will never be the same from now on.

the great bit about the Rog DSOTM tour was no-one had to put with the guff from 'momentary lapse' and 'division bell' - i can just about take the 1st one, but division bells a stinker
