s'allright. nothing more

i guess its because of all thier 'solo' efforts, the only album, IMO, that really stands up to scrutiny is Amused to Death.

the rest all feel tacked on to me, and i'd rather listen to the real stuff

I really life coming back to life :P

and Sorrow's intro is just hiliariously brilliant :P High Hopes is good aswell.

You got the solo albums? about face etc? picked them up about 7-8 years ago at a time I was regularly buying 8-12 CDs in one bash, listened to them once and never again; can't remember for the life of me whether they were any good at all. :P

*ralph runs off to dish them out*

*then wonders if he'll deeply regret it? :P *

ive got the whole cannon. a floyd fan should have them all

and for me, both 'dave' floyd albums are solo efforts (although division bell is more collaborative with wright - lapse is a pure solo album with the rest of them sessioning for dave)

i just can get the solo stuff, but its like driving lambrusco after champagne - whats the point?

If Gilmour played, and he played that, I would be a wreck. FACKT.

And it's not even close to being my favourite PF song. It's no Comfortably Numb, Wish You Were Here, Time, Shine On..., Mother, Echoes etc, etc, etc.

TBH, it's probably a good thing he's not going to play (because we know he isn't) because I'd be dead by the end of his set.

At the "convincing myself it wont happen so I calm down and get back to work" stage, eh? Me too... :P

Yeah, that rumour's been going around for a few months now.

Last I heard, Roger was "number crunching", and is hoping to start touring the end of this year into next.

We'll see though! Would be epic.

i know this sounds a bit 'bloke down the pub' told me but

a mate of mine works with RW's agent, and they are definitely sorting venues and doing numbers right now. its going to happen in the next 12 months. trust me

To be honest, I believe you.

I know it will happen, I just don't know when, and on how big a scale (i.e. tour, or just week-runs at certain venues)

I really, REALLY hope if he does London he does Earl's Court rather than the 02 though...

    • Remain self-imposed on not going north of a hundred, but... we're getting to the point now where the starting gun will be above that for some acts.
    • I'm finding the lower line up a little impenetrable this year   Any thoughts on heavier bands a la Slift a few years ago?
    • Will be curious to see how most of those shows sell. Surprised they're playing Leeds and Manchester - much as I am with Megadeth. (Not complaining, mind you.)
